Abstract = {Classical magnet wires used for manufacturing electrical machine and transformer windings are made with polluting processes involving carcinogen solvents and CO2 emissions. Their production also requires significant electric energy. An innovative varnish produced with a more ecological process, without any solvent and no CO2 or NOx emission, has been proposed. The insulation of this copper wire is composed of an UV-polymerized polyester acrylate layer covered by an extruded thermostable resin (polyphenylene sulfide). The present work aims to explore the properties of this new ecofficient coating for magnet wire application. Calorimetric, thermogravimetric and dielectric analyses were performed to study the new coating. Accelerated tests were conducted to highlight the structural and dielectric changes occurring during thermal ageing.},

Abstract = {The purpose of this work is to study the possibility to integrate aluminum in motor coils with only anodization as inter-turn insulation. This would allow making more lightweight and possibly high-temperature running motors as aluminum melts at approximately 660$\,^{\circ}$C and alumina remains solid until 2072$\,^{\circ}$C. The particularity is that the coil will be made of anodized aluminum strip. The advantage of using strip rather than round wire is to have neat coil and thereby the lowering of inter-turn voltage. This shape of coil is also better adapted to transfer heat outside the motor. The last but not least advantage would be the softening of the voltage peak in the case of PWM supply due to the high capacitance of the coil formed with strips.},

Abstract = {Ce papier pr{\'e}sente une analyse comparative, avec un outil d'analyse du cycle de vie (ACV), de l'impact environnemental de deux structures de circuit magn{\'e}tique adapt{\'e}es {`a} une machine {\'e}lectrique asynchrone standard. La structure conventionnelle bas{\'e}e sur des t{\^o}les classiques {`a} grains non orient{\'e}s (NO) est compar{\'e}e {`a} une structure nouvelle bas{\'e}e sur des t{\^o}les {`a} grains orient{\'e}s (GO) {`a} faibles pertes. La nouvelle structure est adapt{\'e}e aux champs tournants par un d{\'e}calage appropri{\'e} de l'axe de facile aimantation de chaque t{\^o}le, elle permet de r{\'e}duire drastiquement les pertes fer et ainsi d'accro{\^\i}tre l'efficacit{\'e} {\'e}nerg{\'e}tique de la machine pendant sa phase d'usage. La fabrication de ces t{\^o}les a cependant un co{\^u}t {\'e}nerg{\'e}tique plus {\'e}lev{\'e}, ce qui correspond {`a} un impact environnemental suppl{\'e}mentaire lors de leur r{\'e}alisation. Le but de ce travail est d'estimer les impacts environnementaux globaux de cette am{\'e}lioration en analysant chaque phase de la vie d'un moteur asynchrone ; l'{\'e}cobilan comparatif des deux solutions permet de faire des choix pertinents pour une application donn{\'e}e.},

Abstract = {Plus de 80% de l'{\'e}nergie consomm{\'e}e dans le monde est d'origine fossile et viendra {`a} manquer {`a} long terme. Cette consommation amplifie le r{\'e}chauffement climatique. Aucun sc{\'e}nario de transition {\'e}nerg{\'e}tique ne pr{\'e}tend qu'il soit possible, en France, de remplacer les {\'e}nergies fossiles par des renouvelables. Pour atteindre l'objectif de division par 4 des rejets de gaz {`a} effet de serre en 2050, il faudrait diminuer la consommation d'{\'e}nergie de 17 {`a} 66% selon que l'on augmente ou que l'on annule la part du nucl{\'e}aire.
Le levier de l'efficacit{\'e} {\'e}nerg{\'e}tique fait l'unanimit{\'e} puisqu'il s'agit de consommer moins {`a} service rendu {\'e}gal. Toutefois il existe des limites physiques qui emp{\^e}chent une perp{\'e}tuelle am{\'e}lioration des syst{`e}mes. Les progr{`e}s les plus faciles ont d{\'e}j{`a} {\'e}t{\'e} obtenus et les progr{`e}s futurs seront plus difficiles {`a} r{\'e}aliser. L'effet rebond, l'augmentation de la population et la croissance {\'e}conomique annulent une partie des gains. L'efficacit{\'e} {\'e}nerg{\'e}tique est indispensable mais ne peut {\^e}tre suffisante.
Le levier de la sobri{\'e}t{\'e} {\'e}nerg{\'e}tique est donc n{\'e}cessaire. Il suppose de d{\'e}finir les usages de l'{\'e}nergie utiles et ceux qui sont nuisibles. Il impose une r{\'e}organisation importante de la soci{\'e}t{\'e} pour une vie moins confortable difficilement incompatible avec la croissance {\'e}conomique perp{\'e}tuelle et une d{\'e}mographie mondiale nom ma{\^\i}tris{\'e}e.},

Abstract = {The present study investigates the dielectric behavior of the ceramic insulated wire (CIW) as candidate to manufacturing of high-temperature electrical motor windings. To fully characterize this wire, different cases is considered as crossed samples, one side wrapped wire on cylinder and coils samples. The insulation resistance, capacitance and voltage strength are analyzed. Most of these electrical parameters are measured in environment like, air, oil, silicon resin and cement impregnation as function of temperature up to 500$\,^{\circ}$C. The bending radius of ceramic insulated wires becomes crucial, therefore this aspect is taking into account.},

Abstract = {This paper compares three winding wires commercially available for operating at high-temperatures. These wires are stressed by thermal constraints in the temperature range of 20-500$\,^{\circ}$C. The insulation resistance, the tan δ, the parallel capacity and the behaviour under AC voltage strength are quantified with the temperature. The curvature radius, which becomes crucial for inorganic insulated wires, is examined. The detailed comparison between the three wire types assist the appropriate choice of insulated wires for future high-temperature applications.},
